home

Dear friends, we're home. Everyone is asleep in our quiet, peaceful, superclean house. What a blessing. 15 nights in a hospital make you really thankful for things like peaceful music and your own toilet.

Isaiah's blood counts are still very low (ANC is 80) but he's had no fever for a week and has gotten stronger. So they pumped him full of healthy blood for 4 hours and decided to let us go home for the weekend. Though we'd like to throw a party we're going to have to quarantine the little guy - his risk of infection is too high. We'll let you know when we can begin to have visitors.

We are overwhelmed by all the help we've received from our family, our church community, and our 5th St. neighbors. We came home to a completely clean house, a pile of cards and gifts, a full frig, and even a weeded and mowed back yard. Thank you all for serving us and for praying for us.

More news and pictures tomorrow when I can think...

Hey Isaiah. I just talked to Angela and she said you might be coming home soon. I bet it feels good to be home. Hospitals are not a lot of fun. When I was 12 years old I was in a hospital with an IV in my hand for four weeks and, boy, was I glad to come home (:

Hugs and kisses to you and your beautiful family!

Praise God!

Praise God!! As you sleep in your own bed (becomes such a blessing), recline in your home and the peace of your own backyard, may all of you be renewed, restored and strengthen in your home.

"Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. they are renewed every morning, great is your faithfulness." Lam. 3:22-23

He will give you your portion and a strength you never knew existed. Embrace your time together as a family.

"For he has not despised or disdained the suffering of the afflicted one; he has not hidden his face from him but he has listened to his cry for help." Psalm 22:24

Our Lord hears all of your prayers. Thank you for sharing your very personal journey and for allowing us to come along side in prayer for you.

Hi Isaiah!

Yesterday morning at breakfast, Caleb specifically prayed that you would get to go home... and he didn't even know it was a possibility for the day! As you can imagine, his face lit up and all three boys were yelling "YESSSSSS" when I told them that you were home! We are so happy... for you and for your family too. I'm sure it's great to be back at home with all your own things. I'm sure your super powers will get even more re-charged now that your home, so don't forget to rest too. We love you all and REJOICE that God has brought you enough strength and wellness to go home. We will keep praying for more strength and wellness to come.. one day at a time.

Hugs to each of you,

Jason, Tami, Lucas, Colby and Caleb
