Spinal is done. Isaiah was just "deaccessed" - free from tubes and wires! Still dizzy but feeling good. Should be out of here by dinner. Thanks for praying.
Fasting today. Preparing for spinal tap after noon. He's feeling strong!

wednesday afternoon

Hi all.  Thanks for praying for us.

Isaiah is feeling fine.  Early results, though not final, indicate no bacterial problems and no influenza - good news.  We'll know for sure tomorrow.  The doctors are leaning toward pushing ahead with a scheduled spinal tap and heavy chemo dose tomorrow.  We'll wait till about 11 tomorrow to make the final decision.  Either way, we're bunking at Sutter again tonight.

Much Grace.

good morning

Isaiah had a good night. No news yet. Internet at Sutter is really bad. Text or phone is best way to reach us. Peace.

We're in...

Isaiah woke up feeling rough today.  He went to class, but got the chills and Carmen drove him home.  His temp was at 101.3 and we were advised to come to the hospital.  He has some kind of infection.  They're trying to figure out what's going on.  We're praying it's just a common viral issue and that we'll be out in a couple days.  He's pretty wiped out but the fever is gone.  We'd sure appreciate your strong prayers for healing.  Peace.  Nate

feeling better

Isaiah is feeling better, still tired often but able to play hard when he wants to.  Sienna had a chick hatch at her Bita's house and is taking care of it well.  Isaiah typically helps her "just to keep her company" he says.  Often he ends up doing the dirty work or the spider catching.

mild fever

Isaiah has had a low fever since last night.  We had a scheduled doctor's appointment today, which was good.  His counts were high enough that we didn't have to be admitted.  We were very grateful for that.  They're doing a blood culture to check for possible infections.

Though he slept most of yesterday afternoon, he did not want to miss his game.  He was not quite himself, but still collected three hits and made an out at second base.  It was a slugfest: we tied the Lugnuts 19 to 19 :).

Thanks for praying for our boy.
