Maintenance Continued

Isaiah is in the middle of week 5 of his first course of maintenance. Yesterday, at our appointment, Isaiah was diagnosed with an ear infection. He got Vincristine in his port and started his monthly 5 day course of steroids. We have a list going each morning so we can keep track of his daily chemo, daily antibiotic, weekly chemo, 10 day antibiotic and 5 day course of steroids. Despite all the pills he has to swallow Isaiah is doing well. Today he seems extra tired but generally happy. Pray for strength for his body as it endures the ongoing burden of processing so many different chemicals.

I am completely in awe of the incredible spirit that you possess, Isaiah! You are one of the strongest people I know! (Even though we haven't met.) :)

I pray, Lord, that you will hold Isaiah's immune system up, and that you will give his little body the strength to continue fighting.

You are such an amazing example of God's love, Isaiah. Thank you for that. Sending lots of love and hugs your way.

Isaiah buddy you are so TOUGH! I am praying for strength beyond what you thought possible in 2008.

School work is hard to do at home so I will pray that you will want to do it and that you will even enjoy it:)

Thanks for sharing your story with us! I am excited to read it while I am in New Zealand. You can have Daddy show you on a map where I will be reading your blog and praying for you!

Bummer Dude! I had many ear infections when I was a kid. Praying you feel better. Thanks for letting us hang out on New Year's Eve. We had so much fun! We love you Isaiah (and Sienna, Carm and Nate!)

Hey isaiah bear, I miss you. Sorry I haven't written in a while. Me and baby cousin are getting over a nasty cold, but we are staying strong and courageous! When we are all better, we may come visit you all. Sorry to hear about your ear infection, I will pray for that. Hope you are feeling better! Love you bud!

Hey, ear infections are no fun. I had a lot of them as a kid. I'm praying yours will clear up soon. Isaiah, I'm also praying for your continued strength and peace through your course of maintenance this month.

Hugs to all!
