the avenue of the giants

We escaped the hospital just in time to take a weekend off in beautiful northern northern California.  We enjoyed good time with friends and with one another.  Isaiah felt strong and loved playing alongside the Eel River while dad ran his first marathon.  Here's a shot of Isaiah offering dad a PayDay at the halfway point.  We saw incredible redwoods, enjoyed a great bed and breakfast, and spent a lot of time in the van!  It was a wonderful little vacation.

I'm always amazed that people CHOOSE to run!
Good to hear you all had fun. Nothing beats spending time in such a van!

On this Mother's Day, I just want to let Carmen know that she is on my mind and in my heart. I honor her for her courage and selflessness.
She is a mother to be loved and admired. I pray for all of you and for the child you are carrying Carmen. I know all of your children bless you and I add my love to your special day. Hugs, Anne Dease

Jason added strong and courageous to our favorites and I didn't even know he was following it. I just wanted to say thank you guys for inspiring us daily and for loving us. We are sooo blessed by your faithfulness in your marriage, family and church. We are learning so much from being a part of Emmaus.
