We woke up together at 4 a.m. to have some food before his fast began. This was his idea...a result, I think, of applying his growing math skills (if the sleepy test is at 12, and I have to fast for 8 hours, that means...)
Spinal tap days are always difficult for several reasons. We all dread them. But it's amazing to see him - now for the 14th time - work through his fears and get his game face on and just focus. It's an amazing process to watch. Once he gets to the hospital he's in the zone. He's playing and chatting but clearly very aware of passing time, the comings and goings of doctors, everything. I'm always very proud of the way he handles this. We pray a lot together and I always encourage him to be strong and courageous. In recent weeks, he's been challenging us to be strong and courageous too.

What a brave and gentle leader your Isaiah is. How proud you must be....how proud we all are to know him. I hope the week is a good one for all of you. Hugs, Anne
Thanks as usual for the update - Isaiah continues to impress me. I love the 4 am snack idea, that was great! God Bless - Scott Ritter
I agree, the 4am feeding is a fantastic idea! Good to hear that things went well today!
Isaiah your so smart! I miss you so much and hope to see you and sienna soon. I am so proud of your courages attitude. Love you...
Isaiah is one of the strongest people I know... I, too, am amazed at his strength and courage in the difficult circumstances. May He hold you all extra to Him this week. :)
Always thinking about you and praying for Isaiah. I heard that Ledger got to play with Isaiah and Sienna today. When I asked him about it he said "ma" which is the sound he makes for kisses. He must have really enjoyed playing with them.
Love!
Isaiah,
When I ran into you & your Mom at Sutter Memorial on Monday morning, I wasn't feeling very well because I was really sad. But once I saw you & thought about your bravery & courage, I was encouraged. I just wanted you to know that God taught me something through your strong spirit. We continue to pray for you at our weekly bible studies here in Plumas Lake. We Love you Isaiah & Oates family!
