Thanks for checking in on the Oates! Life is full! Every day fills up fast with learning, big decisions, ongoing efforts to support the needs in our community, and the darn kitchen (I swear I just cleaned it! What happened?).
Isaiah is fighting a pretty bad cold and isn't feeling too well. We're scheduled for a spinal (fasting) tomorrow. He teared up when we told him - didn't cry - but definitely felt the weight. He's getting tired of the on-going, relentless nature of this battle and is really longing to "be done with leukemia."
I'm praying this for him today, and for us: "When I called, you answered me; you made me bold and stouthearted." - David, Psalm 138:3

He is never out of my prayers, I still pray for strength and healing. What a little hero he is... so strong and courageous, just like the title of the blog.
As difficult as illness is for adults to deal with, I'm sure it's got to be unimaginable for a child. I will continue to keep him in my thoughts and I although I can't fast with him, I won't think about food all day :)
Hope he's feeling better soon and that we're not responsible for his cold.
I can only imagine how ready he is to be done with leukemia! He is one of the strongest people I know! Sweet Isaiah - you are always in my prayers. I'm so proud of your amazing strength, and I pray that God will heal you of this disease. I'm sending you BIG HUGS!
I'll be praying for you Isaiah, keep fighting buddy! I believe in you little man! God Bless - Scott Ritter ~~

Isaiah, you are so brave. I know this is hard for you. I will pray for healing and for your time to go quickly during the tests. You are a man of God already - showing all of us that you are a hero and warrior!
Be strong little buddy, I'm praying for ya.
