mri

Isaiah was very brave during his MRI. He was in the tube for three hours. He woke up dizzy and tired from the anesthesia. He said he was "tippy" because he couldn't balance very well. After 2 or 3 hours he was playing again and enjoying the company of his cousins, Ravinia and Ava.

It felt like a terribly long day to us as parents. The dark drive to the hospital was quiet and foggy. I was thankful that Isaiah would only feel hungry for a short time. We left Sutter 4.5 hours after we checked in. I was so relieved when we got in the car to go home. Isaiah ate his pbnj and requested a strawberry whirl jamba juice. After stopping for juice, we drove home, built a cozy fire and cuddled on the couch.

As we fell asleep last night I was humbled by the fact that he didn't complain once about anything he had to do that morning. Amazing!

Your strength together as parents is of great value to your son. Your solid rock home allows Isaiah to do battle in his own way. I continue to pray for you as a couple and for his sister,Sienna, as you walk this adventure together. Isaiah is a leader for all of us as we seek to go forward in life.

Dear Isaiah, I'm recovering from recent bladder surgery. I've been reading your blog over this past year. I want you to know that as I waited for my surgery date, had my operation, and began my recovery, I thought of your strength whenever mine would wavier. You are a young boy, and I am 65 years old, but you give me courage. Thank you.

Dear Mrs. Evans,
I got your message. Thank you for the comment. I'm sorry that you had such bad pain on your surgery. I have a lot of pain with my things that I have to do in the hospital. Be brave. Thank you. - ISAIAH

Isaiah, I am an eighty seven year old lady, have been reading your blog for a long time and I have never seen or heard of a little boy with the courage you have. You are an Angel put on earth to inspire all of us.

Hey guys,

It is Jamie from LifePointe in Rio Linda...I just wanted to let you know that if you ever wanted to stop by I am working down in the lab at the hospital(SMH) now - not that you would want to spend any more time in the hospital than you have to! But I thought I would let you and the family know that I am routing for you from downstairs!! Thanks for keeping us updated!
